Its a perfectly made box the only thing I'd say bad bounty it it its so wide. Once you get used to that its a wonderful box!

Looked a lot bigger but thankfully wasn't. Wasn't excited by the price but bought it so it could ship in time. Well worth the money. The sliding piece glides into a click to expose each opening.

I am really impressed with this product. It is very well made and light weight. I like the secure lid and how it has 3 different clicks or stops to ensure that it doesn't just slide out causing spillage. I will definitely buy more for gifts!

Very cool works great and it stays closed so nothing comes out a great buy.

Well built and sturdy. The the spring lodes lid feature is great. A bit bigger than my old ones. Not smell proof but does pretty good. The cleaner/poker is very convenient, but, keep it clean or it sticks to the spring. The “goods” compartment is a little smaller than I would like. The “pilot diary” engraved in the side is lame.

I inherited a similar box from an older brother in the 80's who had it through the 60's and 70's. Unfortunately it was lost and I didn't think I would ever be able to find another like it. The craftsmanship on this product is excellent. The best improvement over the old hitter box I had is the ball detent on the slider top. It won't accidentally open in your pocket and you won't lose the top. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to make the cleaning rod a tad bit longer.

If you're in the search for a higher quality traditional wooden dugout, this is the one you want. Pony up on the extra 15-20$ compared to others , it's worth it.

Originally bought this as a birthday present but upon inspection, got jelly and will order another one for myself.

It differs from most by having a locking slide instead of a swivel...this is a subjective preference but was my biggest worry by ordering online. I feared it would be easily lost but this isn't the case here. It locks in 3 different places and cannot be removed. Opens/locks to the herbal storage area (spacious enough for a few grams) on the right, Cigarette/hitter (Traditional bat), and then again to retrieve the cleaning tool (This has a wooden handle and quite nicer than the "allen wrench" one usually finds in these) on the left. Both tools do have the spring to push them out easily as well.

The wood itself looks and feels great. All the cuts are well drilled too. About the size of a pack o' smokes.

I guess the only gripe I could see coming up is the "Pilot Diary" engraved on the side. -shrug- This doesn't bother me nor the person gifted to so isn't a concern.
